Alibaba Cloud DNS:ISP DNS cache refresh

Last Updated:Jul 06, 2025

DNS Cache Refresh is a service that refreshes cached DNS records on China Telecom DNS servers across all provinces in mainland China. You can use this service to proactively remove cached domain name information from China Telecom DNS servers, allowing domain name resolution results to take effect quickly.

Scenarios

The DNS Cache Refresh service is ideal for scenarios where domain name resolution results need to take effect immediately when DNS records change or during a switchover.

When a DNS record changes but the time-to-live (TTL) or the DNS cache on a China Telecom local DNS server has not expired, domain name resolution results take effect slowly. The DNS Cache Refresh service for China Telecom immediately clears the cache from China Telecom local DNS servers and retrieves the latest resolution results, enabling resolution results to take effect quickly on China Telecom DNS servers.

Important

The DNS Cache Refresh service for China Telecom refreshes DNS records in the cache and makes resolution results take effect quickly on China Telecom local DNS servers. This service does not make domain name resolution results take effect across the entire network. DNS records of other Internet service providers (ISPs) or public DNS servers are not refreshed.

Warning

The DNS Cache Refresh service for China Telecom is not suitable for business regulatory penalties initiated by management departments in China.

This feature requires purchasing a package. The price is: USD 1,200 per refresh. If needed, you can purchase DNS Cache Refresh Resource Package for China Telecom.
